Willo is, in my opinion, the most fun champion to play in Paladins. Everything about her kit (except her mobility) is so satisfying when it comes together. The only issue is she's really situational.

Here are some basic things to keep in mind:

1. Willo is super easy to hit since her giant wings give her a giant hitbox. She's countered by almost any hitscan champion, particularly Androxus, Lian, Saati and Zhin cause his projectiles are massive. Her ult is also countered by snipers. She's just got the world against her. It's usually best to just not pick her into these champions. You won't have a fun time.

This is why you'll see her health card at level 5 in almost every build. You need every ounce of survivability you can get since just existing already diminishes it. There is a popular loadout build that revolves around her "Flutter gives you 25% DR" card, but I personally would rather have more health 100% of the time than DR for a few seconds.

2. A note on the Flutter DR card, if you choose to go that route, you can aim down and Flutter into the ground if you simply want to activate your cards but not actually move anywhere.

3. High ground is always your best bet. Just like any projectile champion, high ground will help you hit more reliably. Unless you're REALLY good at leading your shots, it's best to aim for the ground below or the wall behind the target and rely on the explosion to hit them. Because of this, don't even notice in-air champions. You really can't do anything against them (again, unless you're good at leading your shots. I'm not.)

4. Her default voicepack is really annoying. If you can get ahold of any other skin, please use it XD. My fave combo is Hemlock body and Will.0 weapon.

5. Her ultimate isn't so much a rage mode as it is another angle of attack. Spreading the enemy's focus can really help, and having high ground for 10 seconds straight is wonderful. Always always always jump, Flutter, THEN ult so you don't waste time on the ground. Her ult controls are reversed, so look at the ground and "move" backward to fly up while still facing the battlefield. If you're ulting when you know there's a sniper present, just focus on breaking LOS of said sniper at all costs. Otherwise you just die.

6. In terms of talents, Blastflower is usually your best bet; it's my default. It just gives the most consistent damage. Second to that is Nightshade, which is good for a large amount of fast-paced/mobile champions on the enemy team since burst damage is your best defense. Scorn is actually my favorite, but unfortunately it's just not worth it most of the time. Still, it has a time and place, like against a Nyx and Torvald.

Note on Wrecker and Blastflower: Blastflower does NOT apply to shields UNLESS the shield is a personal bubble (Torvald, Rukus). That's why Blastflower is EXCELLENT against champs like that.

7. One of the best tips is when dueling around an object (like a pillar) where you and the enemy are circling around it. Toss a Seedling to the right and Flutter to the left. The enemy will either A. Back into the Seedling, B. Run right into you, or C. run away entirely. Willo is a zoner. Zone them.

Main - Willy Wanda
Build Section
Notes

My main build. First pick either get Veteran or Deft Hands. Veteran over Haven because of the max health card, so you get more bang for your buck. Don't get Deft Hands above level 2 since diminishing returns make it not worth it. After that, build either Kill to Heal, Haven, or Wrecker, whatever you happen to need. Chronos is always a solid pick, but I personally don't usually find it useful. I like having Pixie dust just in case you're all alone and need some heals.

The basic playstyle is a backline damage. Spam your Deadzone on the point and assist anyone you can with your main weapon. Just be aware of your surroundings since you have to build up your damage.

Burst DMG - Pollution

Notes

Perfect for crushing those quick champions that just love to slip away. Shoot with your main weapon, Deadzone, then another shot and you've dealt 1650 DMG in less than 2 seconds. If it doesn't kill them, it'll at least scare them away. Since you're engaging with Deadzone, the movement speed and healing really helps you hold your own. Just stay in your Deadzone so you can keep that healing prominent.

For items, go Nimble first, and then Veteran, Deft Hands, and whatever else you might need. Since you're going against Flanks, it might be worth it to do Haven first pick.

No Mobility - Burstin' Blossoms
Build Section
Notes

Not usually too viable, but still funzies. I recommend this one on maps like Dawnforge, Brightmarsh, Ice Mines, anything with a lot of close quarters. But Willo in general is good on those maps. If you're on one of those maps AND have some low-mobility enemies, Burstin' Blossoms should be a solid pick.

Same playstyle as a backline DMG. Just lead with your Seedling and try to hit as many people as possible. Toss it behind someone to get them as they retreat, or use it to make an area undesirable for them to walk into in the first place.

I recommend Chronos in this build so you're not as punished for missing a Seedling. Otherwise everything I've said before checks out.

Double Support - Root Rot
Build Section
Notes

This is the build you use if you don't want the enemy to have fun, and also want to be an even bigger target. Just spam Deadzone on the point all the time and stay in the backline. This will make you VERY desirable, so it's super smart to just glue yourself to your support. You can go either Blastflower or Nightshade, both accomplish the same purpose with this build.

Again, Chronos is nice here. Veteran can be done, but since Flora isn't too high I don't think it's worth it over Haven. I'd replace it with Rejuv since you'll be by your support most of the time.

Anyone that relies on supports, has low mobility, and low verticality is fair game for Willo as long as you can hit your shots reliably.

Notes

Anyone that can slow/pull enemies is wonderful for Willo. If you keep attentive and work together you'll be able to combine your efforts and mess em up.
