About Goddess' Blessing play style:

It's the talent where Io doesn't need Luna, Io is very independent.

For me it's the talent that lasts the longest in the game among the other 2. Because if an enemy takes Bulldozer, with Life Link you can no longer put Luna on the front line to heal tanks. As well as the damage reduction has no counter where Life Link has Cauterize...

With this talent Io is very greedy on Moonlight. You should even heal when the allies are under Cauterize! Thanks to the damage reduction and the Swift Arrows card you can easily help an ally out of combat.

Even use Moonlight before combat to get an ally on the offensive, or avoid lethal enemy fire (Strix, Kinessa).

So with this talent you could ask yourself how to use Luna as much as possible.

How to position Luna in my game ?

First of all, Luna's position is between the backline and the frontline. With Luna you need to stun as much as possible. The easiest targets are tanks (your stun and ult shut down their shield).

Luna works like a turret when she does not have a stun and provides constant damage.

When Luna no longer has enough HP (~20%-30%) puts her in backline for her to regenerate herself.

Quite often you will have to predict in advance when Luna will die or if there will be a flanker because repositioning Luna is slow.

One of the strategies for easy stun is to have Luna in an isolated place, shooting an enemy you want stun and finally teleport Luna near that enemy (it works well when you want to stun a flanker that will attack you).

So if we can summarize this:

Luna is in a safe place->you shoot the enemy you want stun->you teleport Luna to that enemy->you use Moonlight to reduce cooldown time with Spirit Arrows->put Luna in a safe place (repeat).

Sometimes Luna on point is also really good if there is no tank in your team that can go on it due to a sniper for example.

A final tip:

Since the last patch with the Moonlight buff (Moonlight has a small window of 0.8sec before the link breaks) switching from one ally to another seems strange and sometimes difficult. I recommend to put Moonlight on another key or spamming Moonlight on an ally to get out of another.

Like putting Moonlight on the left click looks a lot like Mercy's heal in Overwatch (but don't feel as great as in Overwatch :/ ).

About cards: [minimal number of point to maximal number of point]

Moonlight Garden: [3 to 5] or Protectors

The best card to recover % of Moonlight. You can get some by shooting at any enemy. As well as deployable, shields.

Compared to other cards with the same effect, you don't need to wait or have Luna. It works very well during the fight.

If you really think you won't be able to really shoot any enemies (because of a sniper) you can replace this card with Protectors (when Moonlight is completely empty at level 5 Protectors halves Moonlight's reloading time: ~4sec to recover to full Moonlight)

Swift Arrows: [3 to 5] or Celestial Body

You can choose between helping more allies with a speed bonus or more health point.

The speed bonus does not give Io any bonus to herself but transforms Io into a better support. This can help an ally to avoid hits, get out of a team fight (e. g. a Grokh in Ghost Walk and who has trouble getting out of a team fight. An ally who wants to get out of a Jenos' ultimate).

As for having more HP, it allows Io to better survive snipers or damage that could kill an Io with 2200 hp under normal circumstances. Another great card for survivability is Crescent to reset Lunar Leap [3 points].

Restored Faith: [4]

Another card for survivability. If you play with Goddess' Blessing this card is almost mandatory to get heal.

Feel free to use your Moonlight even if all allies are healed and you need heal.

Broken Deity: [1 to 3]

Normally Luna's distance is very short. Increasing the points on this card makes it easier to change Luna's position between the teamfight and the backline according on the map you play.

Spirit Arrows: [1 to 4]

A card that makes Io's life easier. The more points you put in, the faster Luna will be able to reposition. With Goddess' Blessing, Luna doesn't have much importance but if you still want to protect her more I advise to put 3 points (and 4 is a bit too much but really handy).

About items:

Io is one of the only support who don't need Chronos, so pick Cauterize to help your team.

Nimble is really a breath of fresh air because at level 3 it is really easy to heal all your teamates with it.

You can also pick an armor item like Haven, Blast Shields or Resilience (counter many ult like Maeve's one now) as a second item.

Lastly pick Master Riding in case you die often and/or your team need constant healing.

Notes

Sacrifice talent is more for fun and I wouldn't recommand it in ranked. But the play style is quite near from Goddess' Blessing so you could use the Goddess' Blessing Loadout.

With this talent you should play in the first place as a support. This talent doesn't provide any bonus damage like Pip or Groover's one.

When the talent is not on cooldown you are pretty much a support Talus.

You can play more aggressive, follow your flankers and put Luna in backline.

Or you can go on the front line then play like Goddess' Blessing (see So if we can summarize this:) when you sense an ennemy will ult or kill you, put Luna in your backline as soon as you can (you can survive ults with Sacrifice).

The stun and the ult is powerfull against tanks. Try to stun tanks and feel free to use your ult when their shield is up.

Weak Against

Notes

Without help from the team snipers and flankers can prevent Io from any healing. But you can try to kill any flanker with less than 1100pv alone thanks to your stun and two shots.
