3.0 Koga
Build Section
Notes

This build is focused on a bully playstyle. The lack of a damage increase prevents Koga from securing kills as easily as the other flankers, particularly Maeve, Evie, and Buck. However, the dmg falloff effectiveness buff allows Koga to not need as much ammo as he used to in the past. This frees up points in his loadout because you don't need to run heavy investment into the Surprise! card or even the new reworked Memento card.

With extra points and a nice 100 HP buff, Koga can have up to 2250 HP which allows him to proc the Something to Prove card earlier, making it easier to escape or turn a 1v1 into your favor. (Albeit, 2250 HP isn't much the 300 HP/dash more than makes up for it)

Going into the build, I have 3 points in health (2150 HP total), 5 points in his heal dash (300 HP/dash), 3 points for 18 ammo/dash, 3 points for 30% energy (that's an extra energy bar for free), 10 extra ammo or the jump card as the filler.

The bully playstyle:

You don't need to rely on your healer as long as you continuously track and abuse your shadow steps to avoid dmg, cleanse cc, and heal. The damage effectiveness buff allows you to also regain energy back significantly faster. Don't worry if you aren't getting kills so long as you're staying alive, being a nuisance, and distracting the enemy dmgs/support.

If you are trying to escape and run into the enemy tank, remember they don't deal as much damage as before so you can farm their HP for easy energy and continue getting away. I focus mostly on their support/dmgs so that the enemy team doesn't have the same pressure and sustainability as your team, which would allow them to win the team fight more easily.

Here's a good match I played:

I was playing vs iDodgeBullet's 4 stack squad and was able to successfully stay alive and nab some nice kills along the way. Notably, their Koga had more damage than me but struggled to stay alive as much as me. This is because he was running ammo/hp points into Koga's agility.

Koga's agility is not worth investing into in my opinion because of the following reasons:

-Shadow Step has so much more value and more burst healing allowing you to escape when you're in a pinch,

-You need those points to invest into HP/30% energy back.

-You don't need extra ammo to one clip enemies due to the damage effectiveness buff.

-You should focus on distracting and bullying the enemies because Koga isn't as inherently lethal like traditional flankers such as Andro, Maeve, Evie, Buck, or Zhin. Koga lacks any sort of burst if you are running a SMG build. You can argue he has burst in his claws, but I hate using claws because you can't use shadow step.
