You see this coming but I haven't seen much guides regards to Io's mobility.

Disclaimer: This build is not viable for Io.

Experimental Build for Io
Build Section
Notes

Lunar Leap tosses you in the air backwards to the direction you are facing. The ability does not go into cooldown unless you hit the ground after using Lunar Leap. The ability is good for escaping certain situations and also for reposition.

Other stuff Lunar Leap does:

1.) If you hit the ceiling or may have use the ability on a narrow area, you will instantly drop off making your ability useless.

2.) You still have the ability to use your other skills while in the air. Making it useful for you to have wider scope, especially when dealing damage.

3.) Without the card Skywalker or Moonwalk in your loadout, you have little to no control while you are airborne.

Notes

Necessary Cards:

Skywalker V gives you air control.

Eternal Reliquary (at least II or III) will restore your ammo as you activate your Lunar Leap. Necessary because you will have to rely on your Light bow in order to stay in the air longer.

Half Moon II although not that necessary to use, at least you could have an escape ability every 10 seconds.

Necessary Items:

Deft Hands (I usually do at least II or maybe max it out.), you are relying on your Light Bow when your Airborne and if you stop firing, you will immediately fall. So I usually require this so I can stay a bit more longer mid-air.

Nimble is already an option, you can buy this so you can be more faster when using Sky Walker

Other Items include Kill to Heal, Resilience (for stuns), Chronos

Offensive Items like Cauterize and Wrecker just depends on what role you want to play, if you're still prioritizing on healing allies, then they will not be needed as much.

Moonlight

Allies being healed by Moonlight gain 25% damage reduction.

Level 1

Notes

This build is for those who goes for a Heal frenzy then escape. The talent I usually use is Goddess' Blessing since the build will rely on Moonlight.

To play you have to be in a distance to your allies so you have them in your line of sight so you can heal them. Cards like Swift Arrows can be a good addition to the build.

If you are targeted by enemies you have two options of escape:

1.) You can activate Lunar Leap then you can you use your Light Bow to reposition and avoid flankers.

2.) You can jump and continue to shoot. Jumping also brings you airborne, so Sky Walker can be used, by shooting your Light Bow. It gives you the ability to dash and get close to allies that are also in need of healing. This does not give you the ability to reposition on higher ground.

Other cards can also be used: Sanctum of Faith, Restored Faith, Crescent.

*Disadvantages include not prioritizing Luna (sad wolf noises)

Notes

I'm not sure if this is effective that is why this is not very detailed in explanation.

This requires you to chase enemies down. Also, you can use Lunar Leap to get past enemy shields.

The talent I use for this is Life Link so you can focus on dealing damage. I also prefer using Sacrifice while playing Io on TDM.

To chase down effectively:

1.) Use Lunar Leap facing the opposite direction to where the enemies are (I am not sure if said it correctly). This will bring you behind enemy lines and deal the final blows to retreating enemies.

2.) You can also use Lunar Leap to get a sight on behind your allies to see if there are flankers that wants to kill support (in this case, you) and the dps.

3.) If you are on a 1v1 situation with someone with almost low health. Avoid Lunar Leap, jump and shoot with your Light Bow this will still give you air control (see Heal then Escape).

Other cards can also be used: Moonlight Garden

Other items can be used: Haven, Chronos, Kill to Heal, Resilience (just in case...)

*Disadvantages include lack of healing and the possibility of screwing up in using Lunar Leap. (practice makes perfect)

*I'm still not used on using this so further changes might be made to either build, strategy or both.

Notes

This build is something I'm just experimenting with. It focuses on Moonlight and of course Moon Walker V. It gives Io more mobility while she is using her Healing Ability. Sadly, it won't give other bonuses to Io like CC or Damage Reduction instead she only gains Movement Speed in order to catch up with allies.

In order to use this effectively, you have to set your sights onto your target then before you heal, make sure you jump or in a high place and start using Moonlight.

1.) You can activate Lunar Leap for this, you must face the opposite direction to where your target is going before you activate the ability.

2.) If you're out of Moonlight, you can escape through Lunar Leap so you can reposition. Yet I find myself still thinking if having both Sky Walker V and Moon Walker V at the same build very effective.

3.) You should always follow your target so ability won't break and find yourself in a 1 v 1 situation (you're supposed to be more weaker if you don't have escape abilities.)

Items include:

Nimble so you can be faster when you escape or you need more speed to catch up with allies.

I also added Kill to Heal in case your target gets a kill (some other instances can also apply). This is for Io to survive longer because it is a support's role to survive and heal.

Notes

For general reasons, Io is not a killing machine and this build is only good for escaping through Lunar Leap. But when using Lunar Leap, you have to avoid champions that can chase you in the air and those with hitscans.
