Barik
Barik is the definition of point control. Put your ultimate on the capture point and see the enemies drop. Once you figured out all the good spots to put your turrets down, controlling the objective is possible even if you are 1v5 for a bit.
Makoa and Fernando
A little more conventional tanks than Barik, these two are arguable the best solo frontliners. In low elo, a lot of people will go for triple damage or flankers and pay no attention to team composition. Fernando and Makoa can do pretty well even when they are solo on capture point duty and do significant damage as well, if your team mates are sleeping.
Seris and Furia
Seris is one of the best supports when it comes to carrying the game. Her Soul Charges do a fair amount of damage to even the tankiest of enemies, and her channeled heal provides a few seconds of near-invincibility to your front line.
Furia on the other hand excels at controlling enemies with her very balanced stun and participating in the frontline fights with her ult and 1.5k (1500) instant heal right click ability. Get yourself the right loadout and you will do more healing than enemies can dps before finally getting Cauterize 3.
Ying
Finally, the probably most controversial Hero on this list. A lot of people say Ying is one of the worse healers in the game, providing not much outside of her ult.
But I'm going to tell you this: Yings kit is perfect for low MMR.
Your clones have a long placement range, allowing you to play safe and hide from enemy flankers (let's be real, nobody will help a Support surviving enemy flanks in Gold elo). Something that Seris and Furia lack, is safety. Even with Seris' Shadow Step, getting away from an enemy once they're onto you is incredibly difficult.
Ying on the other hand provides a long range, instant teleportation to the side of your tanks and a global ultimate that allows you to get back to the objective immediately while healing all of your allies. Try her out, you won't be disappointed.

Inara & Ashe
Just like Barik, these two provide a great control over capture points. However both the map layout as well as a higher skill floor make them harder to execute reliably.
Jenos & Grover
Jenos is msotly considered OP in higher MMR, but in lower ranks his lower heal amounts and survivability put him below Seris for me.
Grover excels at keeping multiple people alive at the same time, but lacks a real buff that would help his team out securing points. He can be powerful in the right hands and his ult will secure you a lot of points, but you can be outperformed by most other healers if executed poorly.

All of the heroes in this bracket aren't necessarily bad, but have either a high skill floo or require good teamwork to work well. If you want to put the time in to learn them, Atlas and Khan are probably your best choice out of these, if you can grab a duo or trio queue, then Ruckus, Terminus and Torvald can also be really strong, especially if you combine any two of them together. Grokh and Mal'Damba are generally outclassed by other supports, they provide a decent control thanks to their AoE abilities but Seris, Jenos and Grover do the same, if not better.

You're better off picking this guy as a flanker. If you do want to use him as a support, make sure you don'T select Catalyst...
