Who to pick to thrive in ultra-low tier Paladins. Champions that don't rely on their team and are braindead-leavel easy are on top, while the rest is bottom. This tier list assumes you are playing with absolutely horrible players that don't know how to draft and don't play the objective on both teams. Applies to both casual and ranked.
ss
Dredge: Spam to win. They can't counter you, trust me. Autoaim McGee: With retribution you can catch people off guard easily, especially since they have no sense of positioning or awareness. Skye: Nobody will be smart enough to buy Illuminate or dodge your ultimate. Barik: Just set the turrets on the point or the payload and you can generally 1v1 anyone who would contest it. Nobody will come on the point anyway because it looks like a military base. Imani: Dragon is real good if they don't get any bulldozers (which they won't). Khan: Self heal, strong weapon and an instant 600 damage burst make him great for guarding the point.
s+
Almost all tanks are good because you want to play the objective. Get some self sustain and just sit on the point while others play team deathmatch. You are capable of killing anyone brave enough to step into your sacred rectangle if you hide around the walls and such. You can also initiate very well if the enemy team gets a hold of the point somehow.
s
Play whichever DPS you're good at. You probably won't need to, because your team will consist mostly of DPS and Flankers. It's better to pick a tank so you can deal with their DPS champions and contest the point more effectively, but you can do that with damage characters, too.
s-
Healers that can do a lot of damage and peel for themselves are preferable, since nobody's going to help you anyway.
a+
A bit better than Grohk and Grover.
a
All healers are good, but since your team will be filled with Damage and Flank characters that run around accomplishing nothing, it's gonna be a pain.
a-
Torvald: Nobody takes advantage of the shields. Just pick a different tank. Inara: Very tanky, but doesn't deal a lot of damage to contest the point alone. The wall can be useful sometimes for blocking the sightline of their snipers (and believe me, you'll see a lot of those.)
b
Good luck with Terminus when your team has no healers. Good for wiping their whole team with your ult, though, because nobody knows what it does.
c
I honestly never played as Atlas. He's probably ok.
d
Throw pick. Not only do you lose, your brain will decay as a result.
