Just my take on the tank champions in the new season/meta. Each tier contains descriptions for why I chose that tier for each champion.

Makoa Makoa
Torvald Torvald

This tier dictates the most relevant tanks in the game and will most likely pull bans to deal with them.

Makoa (Off-tank or Point): His damage and hook took a sizable nerf but with the transition of his CC Immunity to his base kit it allows us to take Pluck or Half Shell. Pluck will help bridge the gap to help soothe the damage nerf and Half Shell can provide hands free cover.

Torvold (Off-tank): Grandpa is back baby! With the massive nerfs to wrecker, as well as innate shield hate such as Drogoz and Sha Lin, brings him back into the spotlight. His main talent Field Study took a hit as well as his shield health getting cut in half but its helped by the new talent change to Thanks Grandpa which increases the shield by 50%. It case that wasn't enough he also gets a lowered CD on his shield, 8 to 6, but also a new shield card that heals the shielded target This will bring Grandpa tto the forefront of the tank roster

Fernando Fernando
Ash Ash
Inara Inara

This tier is the strong tanks that will be contested past the ban stage.

Fernando (Off-tank): Scorch has returned and with it comes Fernando's resurrection. Fernando has been on the cusp of the meta since the rework of Scorch. He took a hit to his fireball but with maxed Incinerate (which everyone takes 5 of anyway) it is only a 1 second increase to the CD. Easy pick for a top tier flank tank but can work as a point in a pinch

Ash (Off-tank): Ash took some nerfs overall such as her damage on her LMB and her Shoulder Bash talent but gets old Slug Shot in return. Yes the damage bonus to Slug Shot returns and with it Ash's viability. Some of her cards got touched but overall won't effect most Slug Shot builds.

Inara (Point): Inara comes through the new update unnerfed and a reworked talent. Nothing has really changed, she is still amazing on the point and will rule the new meta as the #1 point tank due to the Barik nerfs.

s-

Barik Barik
Khan Khan
Atlas Atlas
Ruckus Ruckus
Raum Raum

Still good but not as good as the others.

Barik (Point): He got hurt by the nerfs in the new season. His most played and only real talent Tinkerin was nerfed rather harshly. It could still work due t it making his gun more consistent in its damage. His main cards were also neutered. Bolling Ball has been cut in half across all levels and Heal Station was lowered by a bit but not nearly as harshly. These nerfs will make Barik no where near as lethal or as survivable as before but with Barik being the only other REAL point tank he could still be in the meta.

Khan (Off-tank): Another victim to the nerf hammer. Once he was a common ban target and now he could potentially not be seen on the scoreboard. The ammo bonus from Storm was removed and his base damage was lowed by 20 as well as his shield taking the largest hit of all the tanks being cut in half. His spot in the meta is uncertain but I am not hopeful since he was mainly chosen for his damage.

Atlas (Off-tank): More nerfs. Mainly just damage nerfs nothing too horrible but its a nasty chunk, 900 fully charged to 750. But he was mainly chosen for his annoyance factor of his shield and rewinds. So keeping this is mind he is the one of the nerfed tanks to be able to keep his spot in the meta.

Ruckus (Off-tank): Ruckus is one of the big winners of this patch. His rocket charges are now base line which will allow Ruckus players to pick Aerial Assault for more mobility and threat generation. He has skyrocketed in terms of viability and I look forward to seeing more of him.

Raum (Off-tank): Raum is in an interesting spot. He is a rather survivable target if his souls are managed proper and can easily have the highest possible health pool with the added benefit of over half of it being a shield that cannot be affected by wrecker. His main weakness comes from his lack of suitability outside of his soul armor. His Juggernaut talent is easily contained and countered by specific champions or talents so it can still be a viable talent if he is chosen late and no easy counters exist. He will be most reliable with his Earth Splinter talent so he can spam CC on a team fight level.

Terminus Terminus

Can be useful but is overshadowed by either other champions or their own problems

Terminus (???): Term is an enigma and can be either amazing or absolutely useless. His lack of range has never really been an issue except for certain maps such as Timber Mill or Shattered Desert. He took nerfs to his DR talent Undying but still has other solid talent choices. I'm just going to keep him here due to his own volatility.
