The purpose is to show player skill levels relative to other players, not estimate MMR.

Pyre Ball
Dealing damage with Pyre Ball reduces the Cooldown of Frost Bomb by 0.8s.

Inferno Cannon
Increase the Mana generation of Inferno Cannon by 75%.

Mana Rift
Armor
Remaining still for 1s creates a Mana Rift around you that generates Mana every 1s. Leaving the Mana Rift destroys it.

Hitting with more than one Sticky Bomb on a use of Detonate increases the damage of each explosion after the first by 30% of its base damage, up to 150%.
