The purpose is to show player skill levels relative to other players, not estimate MMR.

Armor
Increase your maximum Health by 300.

Gain a 750-Health Shield for 3s after dropping to or below 30% Health.
Level 3
Shattered Essence
Soul Harvest
Each Soul Fragment gathered Heals you for 75.
Level 5
Subservience
Soul Harvest
All your living allies are Healed for 1.5% of their maximum Health for each Soul Harvested.
